Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a menthol derivative excellent in irritation-moderating effect by a phosphate group excellent in human skin affinity, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This menthol derivative is obtained by performing a reaction of dichloro[5-methyl-2-(methylethyl)cyclohexyloxy]-phosphin-1-one obtained from a reaction of menthol with phosphorus oxychloride by (1:1-1.3) equivalent ratio in an organic solvent in the presence of an organic base, with 3- aminopropanol in an organic solvent in the presence of a base, then hydrolyzing and crystallizing in a polar organic solvent.
