SOLUTION: This gel-coated seed contains particles composed of a hydrated water absorbent polymer arranged in a coated gel layer composed of an alginic acid aqueous gel gelated with a polyvalent metal ion. The water absorbent polymer has durability to the polyvalent metal ion.
