OPEN TYPE DYNAMO-ELECTRIC MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type dynamo-electric machine with enhanced cooling effect achieved by improving the cooling method of the machine and having enhanced reliability achieved by reducing the vibration of the rotor axis as well as suction of foreign matter. SOLUTION: The open type dynamo-electric machine is provided with a frame 1 formed continuously in the axial direction and having an inner ventilation path 9, a stator (core) 7 having stator winding, a rotor (core) 6 having rotor winding and ventilation ducts in the axial and radial directions, brackets 5 supporting the rotor on both sides in the axial direction of the frame while keeping the stator (core) 7 and the rotor (core) 6 stored within the frame, and a cooling fan 4 that ventilates by rotating together with the rotor axis 3, and has shafts protruding from the brackets on both sides to be connected directly to loads. It is characterized by being provided with an axial-flow fan inside the frame 1 supported by the brackets 5.
