Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect reliably a train entering or exiting a detection section which is set along a railway on which a train runs. SOLUTION: In this train detection method, a train entering a block is detected by sensing the disconnection state of the communication between a interrogator and a ground responder which are arranged oppositely at the boundary between two detection territories; and a train exiting from a block is detected by receiving identification information from an on-train responder installed on the tail end of the train by the interrogator to detect the tail end of the train, and sensing the restoration of communication between the interrogator and the ground responder. In the detection territory, where a direction is set for route control and the detection is performed according to an advance direction, the train entry to the detection territory is confirmed under a condition that a train passes the boundary and enters the detection territory in the rear. The train entry-and-exit information is prepared by setting the detection territory according to the direction for route control.
