Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of an expansion joint, which can prevent rainwater from dropping to the ground from a crack or a breakage of the expansion joint, or rust from growing on the base structure of a bridge as rainwater soaks into the base structure when the crack or breakage occurs on a gutter of the expansion joint due to vibrations caused by an earthquake and the like, wherein the structure of an expansion joint is formed by arranging finger joints for absorbing the expansion and contraction of bridge girders on the upper end of a girder space formed between the adjacent bridge girders of the bridge, and by providing the gutter below the finger joints. SOLUTION: Fillers 9 are filled into gaps formed between the gutter 7 and the webs 3, 3 of the bridge girders 1, 1 opposite to each other. A synthetic resin layer 8 is formed to cover from the outer bottom of the gutter 7 exposed between the fillers 9 to the under surface of the fillers 9 to the opposite faces of the webs 3, 3. Thus, the leakage of rainwater from the crack or breakage of the gutter 7 is prevented. |
