HELMET HAVING OPENABLE SHIELD PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet having an openable shield plate having sufficiently high supporting strength of the shield plate and enabling smaller opening in contrast with conventional helmet having a cylindrical part formed on an attaching base in a manner to fit with a holding hole for a completely closed position of a circular guide groove formed on the side of the shield plate, a holding hole for a full-open position and a holding hole for a defrosting position and, accordingly, having restriction on the narrowing of the distances between the holding holes for keeping the supporting strength of the shield plate to leave a wide opening even at the defrosting position and allow the intrusion of wind and rain through the opening. SOLUTION: The helmet has a supporting member provided with an engaging part fitting to multiple notches of the shield plate by elastic force. The engaging part has a recess to receive a protrusion between the notch at the completely closed position and the notch at the partly opened position. The shield plate can take an anticlouding position opened at an opening narrower than the partly opened position by the fitting of the protrusion and the recess.
