SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor having a low ESR characteristic. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor wherein an electrically conductive polymer is formed within a capacitor element comprising wound anode foil and cathode foil with a separator interposed in-between, the foil resistivity per unit area of the anode foil or the cathode foil is 0.27-0.7 mΩ, the foil-width is 1.5-4 mm, and the foil area is >=150 mm , so that the resistance component of the electrode foil is lowered, the resistance component of the electrolyte between the electrode foils is also lowered, and moreover the contact resistance at the joined part between the electrode foil and an electrode lead-out terminal is also lowered to obtain the solid electrolytic capacitor having the low ESR characteristic.
