Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with reduced irreversible capacity of a negative electrode using carbon material, with high energy density and excellent charge/discharge cycle performance. SOLUTION: With the nonaqueous electrolyte battery provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte, a substance expressed in formula 1 such as acetylene dicarboxylic acid ester is added. Since, especially, decomposition of electrolyte solution is suppressed during charging on a carbonaceous electrode significant in case of use of the conventional propylene carbonate, a high-efficiency battery can be provided.
