SIMPLE PLANTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple planter that can clean the water for breeding ornamental fishes and feed water to plants. SOLUTION: A planter system is equipped with filtration layers 3, 8 mainly made of ion-exchange resins between a water tank 6 and the planter 2 and water in the tank 6 flows through the roots of the plants. Ion-exchange resins, particularly fine particles of ion exchange resin are used not only to retain the clarity of the water but also promote the activity of nitrobactria and denitrifying bacteria whereby the accumulation of contaminants, particularly nitrogen compounds is reduced in the water so that the plant can be grown. Owing to the growth, air is kept clean, is filled with aromas and nitrogen components in water are reduced. This invention facilitates the cultivation of horticulture plants, and both of aquarium and horticulture can be enjoyed when necessary. Particularly, this planter system can be used for aged people that have bedridden to give them rich and cure emotions. Since used ion exchange resins are utilized in this system, the system has a large significance for recycle of resources.
