Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon brush with a long service life, and to increase service lives of a commutator motor and an electrical appliance using the carbon brush. SOLUTION: In this carbon brush 1, temperature increase is suppressed by use of endothermic reaction by at least one of endothermic fusion and dehydration pyrolysis of a filler. Thereby, even if a commutator piece step difference or a change of a surface state of a commutator, or a fluctuation of environmental temperature, humidity or the like occurs, a spark is prevented, and the temperature increase is suppressed to improve the carbon brush service life, and the service lives of the commutator motor using the carbon brush and the electrical appliance mounted with the commutator motor.
