Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fully prevent serious damages to a compressor by a large-scale burnout of a motor for the compressor and a burnout of an overload protecting device itself, by always suppressing generation of an arc in a fusion of a current fuse means and by surely carrying out interruption of a current, without having to depend on a voltage of a power supply to the compressor, when a heat- reacting plate is fatigue-destructed and a contact-point welding occurs. SOLUTION: This is the overload-protecting device provide with the first heat-reacting device 9 for overload current protection to make a movable contact point 9b move by deformation due to the temperature of the heat-reacting plate 9c and to have a fixed contact point 9f paired with its movable contact point 9b, with the current fuse means 10 to carry out interruption of the current by fusing due to its self-oxoterm by the current, and with a housing container 7 to wire-connect and to house the heat-reacting device 9 and the current fuse means 10 in a series circuit, and this is made to be constituted, so that a shielding member 12 is installed to separate a space at which the current fuse means 10 is installed from a space at which the first heat-reacting device 9 is installed.
