Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metallic pigment composition having various colors and simultaneously exhibiting excellent sheen. SOLUTION: The metallic pigment composition is obtained by covering the surfaces of metal flakes with a film of a dissimilar metal, wherein the flakes have an average particle diameter of 5-100 μm and an average thickness of.0.1-5.0 μm, and the film has an average thickness of 0.0005-0.02 μm. The metallic pigment composition is preferably formed by spattering the flakes covered with the film in a state that the flakes form a fluidized bed, so that the surfaces of 100 pts.wt. of the metal flakes are covered with 1-50 pts.wt. of the film of the dissimilar metal.
