Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head of a structure to be stably manufactured in a good yield. SOLUTION: This magnetic head of a helical scan system is constructed in such a manner that a head chip 10 is joined to a head base 12, the head chip 10 and a terminal plate 13 attached to the head base 12 are connected to each other by wire rods 15, and an electric signal is transferred. In this case, a protective material is formed to cover the wire rods 15, at least the rod wire 15A of the rod wire 15 located nearest to a sliding surface 11 side with respect to a recording medium has a low inclination angle part 15L having a low inclination angle θ4 with respect to the main surface of the head chip 10 in the sliding surface 11 side, and a high inclination angle part 15H having a high inclination angle θ5 with respect to the main surface of the head chip 10 in the heads base 12 side.
