METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING QUANTITY IN SAMPLE WITHIN CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level position measurement method and a liquid level position measurement apparatus of a sample in a container for rapidly measuring the quantity of the liquid sample that is accommodated in a container such as a test tube. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring the quantity in samples within a container comprises electrodes 51 and 52 for applying an AC voltage to a test tube 1 that accommodates a liquid sample, a coil 61 for detecting an induction current that is generated in the test tube 1 by applying the AC voltage, a movement means 7 for relatively moving the electrodes 51 and 52, and the coil 61 in one piece in a depth direction (a) of the test tube 1, and an arithmetic means 8 for calculating the quantity of the liquid sample in the test tube 1 according to a detection result Vout of the coil 16 and the amount of travel by the movement means.
