PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance/leaving management system capable of accurately grasping the entering/leaving situation of a person into/from a space to be an object of entrance/leaving management while satisfactorily preventing and suppressing illegal intrusion into the space and being easily and inexpensively applied to the existing system in addition. SOLUTION: This entrance/leaving management system has a card reader 10 installed in the vicinity of an entrance/exit of an object space SP, optical sensors 20a and 20b for detecting a person HMA going through the entrance/exit of the object space SP, an entrance/leaving management control panel 30 for judging the entering (entering room) or leaving (leaving room) of the person HMA into/from the object space SP on the basis of specific information read by the card reader 10 and a detection signal from the optical sensors 20a and 20b, and a center device 40 for managing entrance/leaving information, etc., into/from the object space SP on the basis of judgment results, etc., from the control panel 30.
