Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coating method for member of scroll type pump with satisfactory sealing property capable of minimizing a clearance to enhance the compression efficiency. SOLUTION: This surface coating method comprises a process for applying a surface coating material of a coolant-resisting resin containing MoS2 particles to the member surfaces of a rotating scroll 6 and a fixed scroll 7 which form a space; a process for assembling the space before hardening of the surface coating material; and a process for hardening the surface coating material adhered to the member surfaces and discharging the excess portion thereof.
