Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control brace which effectively demonstrates a vibration control property not only for an earthquake response but also for a wind response. SOLUTION: A super plastic metallic material is used in a flat plate state as an energy absorbing member. The central part between force applying parts on its both ends is formed in the energy absorbing part with a small cross section where axial deformation concentrates. An in-plane stiffening plate stiffening in-plane buckling in the energy absorbing part and an out-of-plane stiffening plate stiffening out-of-plane buckling are arranged. Two angles (7, 7) clamping the out-of-plane stiffening plate from both sides are arranged on both faces of one force applying part of the energy absorbing member, and are bolted to the force applying part. Similarly, two angles (9, 9) in pair clamping the out-of-plane stiffening plate from both sides are arranged, and are bolted to the other force applying part of the energy absorbing member. |
