Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify manufacture of an axle housing by reducing a number of parts and welding points and facilitating its machining. SOLUTION: A plate material formed to be approximately developed shape of the axle housing is bent at its both parts on a short side, and a part in a vicinity of both sides on the short side is bent to be pulled to a further inner side. Then, both parts in a longitudinal direction of the same plate material are formed into tube shape, and an opening 14 of approximately rhombic shape is formed to a center part in the longitudinal direction of the same plate material, whereby a housing body 1 is manufactured. A cover plate 2 formed into the approximately rhombic shape is mounted to the housing body 1 to cover the opening 14, thereby manufacturing the axle housing.
