Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor, capable of improving the cooling effect of a stator core and preventing heat transfer from a load side bracket part of the motor to a machine tool. SOLUTION: In the load side bracket 4 constituting this spindle motor, there are provided a fixing guide 4A for fixing the load side bracket 4 on the external machine tool, and a coolant path 14 between a position Do facing a position where cooling holes 5 in the stator core 6 are drilled and a position Di on the inner periphery of the fixing guide 4A, so that coolant can be made to flow. In the plurality of cooling holes 5, there are provided a coolant piping 15 for supplying coolant Fo from an external oil cooler (not shown) to the coolant path 14, concentrically with the inner wall of the cooling holes 5 via a clearance and on any of the cooling holes 5, while a coolant piping 16 for recovering the coolant Fo from the coolant path 14.
