IMAGE CODER, IMAGE DECODER AND MOVING IMAGE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly restore a failure of an displayed image to a normal image, suppressing propagation of an error inherent to MPEG2 method to the minimum without using a high capacity of buffer and without impairing real time properties even when an unavoidable decoding error such as a failure of the displayed image at an image decoder side. SOLUTION: An image coder 10 consists of a coding section 11 for applying prediction coding processing to image data, a coded data transmission section 12 for transmitting the coded data coded by the section 11 by wireless line, an error information receiving section 13 for receiving error information notified from an image decoder 20, a control selecting section 14 for comparing the error information with a predetermined rule and selecting contents including a coding method in the section 11, and a coding control section 15 for controlling the section 11 according to the contents selected by the section 14.
