SKIRT CONSTRUCTION OF RUBBER KEY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber key whose construction enables the key to be depressed evenly, even for a rubber key with a shape for which the key tends to have uneven reaction. SOLUTION: With the rubber key made of silicone rubber or the like, the thickness of its skirt is made variable, according to the shape of its top face profile enabling the stroke of the key as a whole to be depressed evenly, when a specified position of the rubber key is depressed. When the top face profile is long, the thickness of the skirt of the shorter side is made smaller than that of the longer side. When a deformed rubber key, whose top face profile is rectangular and a part of which is projecting in an oblong shape, the skirt thickness of the projected oblong section is made smaller than that of the rectangular section.
