PASSWORD INPUT SYSTEM, CHARACTER STRING INPUT SYSTEM, PASSWORD INPUT METHOD, AND PASSWORD INPUT PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that if a regular user of a computer system makes a key input error when inputting a password, even the regular user should input the password again. SOLUTION: For a log-in system, constitution is provided which registers information regarding up to what extent of an input error a password is regarded as a regular password in case of a password input error and determines the adequacy of the password according to the registered contents. Password determination is performed by referring to the registration contents of a password determination level allowing the password input error and regarding an input error meeting the registered rule as the original password. Thus, when the extent of the password input error is within the prescribed range, log-in is allowed.
