ELECTRONIC PEN DATA INPUT DEVICE FOR COMPUTER, AND COORDINATE MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic pen data input device for a computer finely tracking the continuous movement of an electronic pen while reducing the cumulative errors of an inertia sensor even in the case of performing a wiring operation on a general plane at an optional angle or at the time of performing the writing operation away from the plane, and a coordinate measuring method. SOLUTION: This electronic pen data input device for the computer is, in the electronic pen having a pen-like housing, provided with an optical three- dimensional detecting device 6-A for detecting orientation angles of a centerline of the pen relative to a ground and a height of the pen over a writing surface, a three-axis accelerometer 4 for detecting the by three-dimensional movement of the electronic pen, and a communication means 1 for transmitting information on the detected orientation angle, height and movevent to an external arithmetic unit.
