Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device, system, and method for interconnecting optical components. SOLUTION: One embodiment style of the present invention includes an optical circuit pack assembly (8), an optical circuit board (10), a child board (16), an optical device (30) which has a front end and a back end, an optical connector (32), and optical connector mechanisms (31, 33, 34). The optical device (30) is fixed on the child board (16), which is fitted slidably to the optical circuit board (10). The optical connector (32) is fixed onto the optical circuit pack assembly (8) so that when an operator inserts the circuit board (10) into the optical circuit pack assembly (8), the optical connector (32) and optical device (30) are hidden and not seen. The operation of the optical connector mechanisms (31, 33, 34) moves the child board (16) along its longitudinal axis and then the optical connector (32) and optical device (30) operatively engages each other.
