Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector capable of accurately detecting a position corresponding to the relative position of a moving member and a detection part by simple constitution. SOLUTION: The position detector has an upper conductive sheet extending in an arcuate state by a holder, the lower conductive sheet provided in opposed relation to the upper conductive sheet and the sphere made movable on the upper conductive sheet while rotated. Predetermined voltage is applied across both ends of the lower conductive sheet to detect the position of the sphere on the basis of the voltage of the upper conductive sheet.
