SOLUTION: The tyrosol derivative is a tyrosol ester expressed by formula (I) (A is H or COR; R is Cn H2n+1 ; and (n) is an integer). An agent for inhibiting lipid metabolic enzyme contains the tyrosol derivative as an active component.
