Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paster for bookbinding capable of always maintaining the amount of a molten hot melt adhesive at a specified level in a housing. SOLUTION: The paster for bookbinding comprises a first sensor means 68 to detect whether a molten hot melt adhesive 61' in the housing 65 reaches a specified first level and a control means which controls the drive of a sheet feed roller 63 in such a way that when it is detected by the first sensor means that the molten hot melt adhesive in the housing is below the specified level, the sheet feed roller 63 is driven to pay off a hot melt sheet 61 from a sheet roller 62, then the tip of the hot melt sheet 61 is brought into contact with a heating roller to supply the molten hot melt adhesive 61' into the housing and when it is detected by the first sensor means that the molten hot melt adhesive 61' in the housing is above the specified level, the sheet feed roller 63 is stopped.
