METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALKALINE IONIC WATER AND WATER MODIFYING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing alkaline ionic water which can simply produce alkaline ionic water having an oxidation-reduction potential and pH equivalent to those of water produced by an electrolytic water producing apparatus without using electrolysis, and also provide a water modifying device. SOLUTION: An ionic water generator A1, which is the water modifying device, is formed in a rod shape and in a size to be housed in a usual PET bottle. The generator A1 has a cylindrical generator body 11 in which magnesium powder is housed. Lids 12 and 12 are fitted somewhat tightly in longitudinal both end sides of the generator body 11. Water passage holes 111 and 121 for making the magnesium powder contact water in the PET bottle and nets 12 and 14 for preventing the magnesium powder from leaking outside from the holes 111 and 121 are provided at necessary positions of the circumferential surface part of the generator body 11 and the lids 12 and 12.
