Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for oxidation coupling which controls variations of physical properties in accordance with the origin, habitat, species, and the like and shows a uniform catalytic activity by blending carbon sources which turn to a gas component and disappear with shellfish or shells and baking the blend. SOLUTION: The carbon sources which turn to a gas component and disappear during baking is blended with shellfish or shells and the blend is baked at 500 to 1,300 deg.C. Thus a shell-based catalyst is obtained. The carbon sources are graphite, cellulose, hydrocarbon, starch, fatty acid, saccharide, and the like.
