ACTIVATED CARBON ADSORPTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activated carbon adsorption apparatus reduced in the lowering degree of pressure in an activated carbon packed column during stoppage and reducing the consumption quantity of nitrogen gas. SOLUTION: In the activated carbon adsorption apparatus comprising an activated carbon packed column 10 and having an inlet duct 13, an outlet duct 14, and a bypass duct 15 all of which are provided with dampers, the dampers 17 and 18 provided at the inlet duct 13 and the outlet duct 14 allows the ducts 13 and 14 to suck the open air when the pressure in the ducts on the side opposed to the activated carbon packed column 10 becomes negative but not to suck the gas in the activated carbon packed column 10. A nitrogen gas supply device 20 is provided so as to supply the nitrogen gas into the activated carbon packed column 10 so that the pressure in the activated carbon packed column 10 is held in a predetermined range.
