PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data distribution system where Web information can be obtained easily by pursuing a linkage using facsimile equipment as user terminal equipment. SOLUTION: Image information of an input paper, on which request contents of a user are described, is sent as facsimile image information data to a data providing server 3 by using user facsimile equipment 2-1 to 2-n. In the data- providing server 3, the request contents included in facsimile image information are recognized by a recognition part 31, information on a Web which corresponds to the request contents is obtained, on the basis of the recognized result by using an information obtaining part 32, and the obtained Web information is converted to facsimile image data, by using an image conversion part 33 and sent to the facsimile equipment from 2-1 to 2-n.
