Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lateral slippage of a carbon electrode and further of MEA by friction force generating between the carbon electrode and the bottom surface of a recessed part by sucking the carbon electrode with a first suction part for an upper mold during trimming of a polymer electrolyte membrane, to enhance trimming accuracy and the quality of the fuel cell. SOLUTION: This trimming device is composed of a trimming drag 14 on which the MEA 65a is placed and a trimming cope 16 having a trimming blade 15, and a first recessed part 42 housing the carbon electrode 12 and the first suction part 44 for the cope sucking the housed carbon electrode 12 to the bottom surface 42a of the first recessed part 42 through a pad 43 are installed in the trimming cope mold 16.
