CARTOON TRANSLATION DEVICE AND ITS SYSTEM AND CARTOON TRANSLATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartoon translation device for generating translated cartoon in which the sentence of a balloon part is described in a translated sentence from an original language cartoon in which the sentence of the balloon part is described in an original sentence. SOLUTION: This cartoon translation device is provided with a balloon part range detecting means 102 for detecting the range of a balloon part from an original language cartoon, and for extracting the balloon part, an original sentence range detecting means 103 for detecting an original sentence range from the extracted balloon part, and for extracting the original sentence range, a character recognizing means 104 for recognizing the original sentence from the original sentence range, a translating means 105 for generating a translated sentence by translating the original sentence, an original sentence erasing means 106 for erasing the original sentence from the original language cartoon in order to generate an original sentence erased cartoon, and a translated sentence inserting means 107 for inserting the translated sentence into the balloon part of the original sentence erased cartoon based on the detected range of the balloon part in order to generate a translated carton.
