Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a dispenser cathode for a cathode-ray tube reproducibly manufacturable with a uniform beam current kept constant over a long time. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the dispenser cathode for the cathode-ray tube, the dispenser cathode is provided with a cathode carrier having a cathode base of cathode metal, and a meal matrix of a metal grain matrix of meal selected from a group of fire resisting metal, and the matrix is permeated with the oxide grain of an alkaline earth metal oxide selected from a group of the oxide of calcium, strontium and barium. The matrix of metal grain of the meal selected from the group of the fire resisting metal is manufactured by reduction of oxide gel stable in porosity of the metal selected from the group of the fire resisting metal.
