Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera by which incongruity due to the light emission of a stroboscope is reduced without giving feeling that an image obtained by stroboscopic photographing is irradiated with two kinds of light beams. SOLUTION: The digital still camera having a stroboscopic unit to simultaneously perform light emission with image pickup so as to correct the insufficiency of light quantity at the time of performing the image pickup of an object has a decision means to decide the color temperature of external light and a controlling means to control the color temperature of the stroboscopic unit, and the controlling means controls the color temperature of the stroboscopic unit based on the color temperature of the external light decided by the decision means.
