Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new antibiotic substance having new molecular skeleton and exhibiting excellent antibiotic action on bacteria. SOLUTION: The antibiotic substance is caprazamycin D and G expressed by general formula (I) [R is 10-methyl-undecyl in caprazamycin D and 9-methyl- undecyl in caprazamycin G] and caprazamycin D1 and G1 expressed by general formula (II) [R is 10-methyl-undecyl in caprazamycin D1 and 9-methyl-undecyl in caprazamycin G1]. The antibiotic substance is produced by the culture of Streptomyces sp. MK730-62F2 (FERM BP-7218). The caprazamycin D, G, D1 and G1 have excellent antibiotic activity against various acid-fast fungi and bacteria and their drug-resistant strains.
