Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicinal composition useful for the prophylaxis and therapy of respiratory disease or the like associated with type 4 PDE, and further to provide a crystal of a compound useful as a bulk of medicine for the prophylaxis and therapy of the respiratory disease. SOLUTION: A 2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-1,8-naphthyridine derivative characterized by a propanoic acid group present at the 3-position is discovered to have a strong PDE4-inhibiting activity, and further to have excellent oral absorptivity and sustainability. The A-type and B-type crystals of the compound have the stability usable as bulks for producing a medicine, and especially the B-type crystal is useful for the mass-synthesis in an industrial production.
