DEVICE FOR ASSISTING IN CAPTURING THREAD END FOR AUTOMATIC THREAD WINDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device enhancing the efficiency of production by reducing the rate at which joining of threads fails, thereby preventing a decrease in working efficiency, particularly when a woolen thread or a hemp thread or the like with large diameters and high rigidity is used in the thread ending device of an automatic thread winding machine. SOLUTION: In the device for assisting in capturing the end of a thread for the automatic thread ending mechanism of the automatic thread winding machine, a blowing air nozzle is provided on the upper surface of a suction mouth. The nozzle is provided with a slit which continues throughout the width of a package. The device is provided with an air blowing means for floating the end of the thread from the package by blowing air from the slit from the direction opposite to rotation of the package at the time when the package is reversed.
