GAS GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid-type gas generator used in an air curtain-type air bag capable of being mounted on the air bag without being disturbed by a connecting cable of an igniter and a collision sensor, and discharging a high- pressure gas without changing the direction of the gas from a cylinder sealing the high-pressure gas. SOLUTION: This gas generator comprises the cylinder 2 containing high- pressure gas and a rupture disc 3, a housing 7 having a flame spurting port 4 and accommodating the igniter 5 and a transfer 6, a gas retention space 8 formed between the cylinder 2 and the housing 7, an outer cylindrical member 10, and a lid member 12 provided with a gas discharge port 11 for discharging the gas from the cylinder 2 in the direction same as the discharging direction from the cylinder 2 through the gas retention space 8 and an annular space 9, and caulked and fixed to one end of the outer cylindrical member 10, and the igniter 5 is deflected with respect to a shaft of the housing 10.
