METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING WASTEWATER CONTAINING SALT AND DIFFICULT-TO-DECOMPOSE COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for efficiently treating wastewater containing salts and difficult-to-decompose compounds. SOLUTION: An apparatus for treating wastewater is provided, which has a pretreatment means 1 that pretreats the wastewater containing salts and difficult-to-decompose compounds, a reverse-osmosis apparatus 2 that subjects the wastewater pretreated by the means 1 to a reverse-osmosis membrane treatment to separate it into a permeated and a concentrated component. An adsorption and oxidative decomposition apparatus 3 that adsorbs and oxidatively decomposes the difficultly decomposable compounds in the concentrate from the apparatus 2 by treatment with active chemical species, and a desalting apparatus 4 that desalts the decomposed product after the treatment in the apparatus 3. A method for treatment using this apparatus is also provided.
