Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily know which multimedia have been transferred to an index multimedia contents server. SOLUTION: The multimedia contents distribution device is provided with a storage means, a selection means and a transfer means. The storage means stores multimedia contents. The selection means selects multimedia items from the stored multimedia contents and prepares an index for the selected multimedia items. The transfer means transfers at least a part of the multimedia items included in the index to the multimedia contents server through a network. The transfer unit is provided with a selector and a transferred position display device. The selector specifies a certain multimedia item from the index and transfers the specified multimedia item to the multimedia contents server through the network.
