SUEDE-LIKE FRP MOLDED PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in conventionally methods delustering agent or a mold having a mat pattern for molding is used to make the surface of an FRP molded product a matted surface or a suede-like surface, but the operation is complicated, and the mat pattern is not obtained with uniformity and with good reproducibility. SOLUTION: The uniform mat pattern having a part of a thermoplastic resin exhibiting a fine raised fiber shape having a suede-like touch is obtained by using the conventional mold with the mat pattern and the conventional molding method, and by sanding the surface of the resultant FRP molded product gel-coated with a resin compound comprising an unsaturated polyester resin and/or a vinyl ester resin, and a thermoplastic resin powder.
