HOME ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home elevator capable of being installed in a narrow space and efficiently using a limited floor area. SOLUTION: This home elevator comprises a cage 13 with a circular horizontal cross-section; a pair of posts 12 stood on a base 11 oppositely to each other with the cage 13 sandwiched therebetween to guide lifting of the cage 13; and yokes 14, 15 for connecting and fixing both of the posts 12. The yokes 14, 15 have L shaped portions 41, 51 stretched and fixed to both of the posts 12 with corner portions placed outward. A cage lifting driving mechanism 16 is stored in spaces 45, 55 between vertical faces inscribed to a cage hoistway and the L shaped portions 41, 51.
