Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a care-given to move a wheelchair by pushing from behind without always watching his step and to absorb an impact force when the care-given hit his leg with a fall preventing mechanism. SOLUTION: The wheelchair 1 has the fall preventing mechanism 10 projecting rearwards from rear wheels 6. The fall preventing mechanism 10 is provided with a safety bar 11 rotatable with rotation of the wheels 6 with respective to a bracket 8 fixed to a frame 2. The safety bar 11 is rotated to a predetermined opening angle and is stored in a storing position.
