Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive motor actuator having a simple structure and high energy efficiency in which frequent start/stop can be realized. SOLUTION: During return stroke with light load, energy generated by a motor 2 and kinetic energy of a movable section at the time of stopping are absorbed and stored in a coil spring 11. Consequently, the movable section of a linear actuator 1 can be stopped quickly while eliminating the need for imparting a brake power means of an electric or mechanical brake or the need of an arrangement for imparting a brake rower surely, e.g. a countermeasure against heating. In the operating stroke, the coil spring 11 elongates to release the stored energy in the form of kinetic energy thus reducing the drive force required by the motor 2.
