METHOD FOR LASER MARKING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for laser marking for executing multi-color marking by forming a plurality of colored coating layers on a base, irradiating each layer with the laser and selectively removing a coating and for completely removing the coating layer by a necessary minimum limit laser irradiating energy and efficiently multi-color laser marking. SOLUTION: The method for laser marking comprises the steps of forming a thickness of an outer layer 21 of the coating layer thinner than a thickness of an inner layer 22, laser irradiating a marking pattern with the laser irradiating energy corresponding to an energy to be removed in the thickness of the layer 22, and removing the coating layer in the sequence of the layers. The method further comprises the steps of forming the coating to become a front surface after the formation of the layer of a material having a high laser absorptivity and easily removable by laser irradiating, and forming the coating of the inner layer of the coating layer of a material hard to be removed and having a low laser absorptivity.
