ACTUATOR LATCH DEVICE OF HARD DISK DRIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch device of a hard disk drive which makes sure locking of an actuator and smooth unlocking thereof possible. SOLUTION: The actuator latch device of the hard disk drive for unturnably locking the turnable actuator when a magnetic head mounted on one end of the actuator is positioned at a parking region on a hard disk is equipped with a locking projection which is disposed at the other end of the actuator; a latch member which is freely turnably disposed adjacently to the locking projection, turns cooperatively with the actuator turning in the direction where the magnetic head is moved to the parking region and unturnably locks the actuator by hooking a hook section disposed on one end to the locking projection and latch member moving means which turns the latch member in a direction where the hook section hooked t the locking projection is disengaged.
