Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a penetration test machine and method capable of surely hearing and recording sound propagating through a penetration rod in a penetration test. SOLUTION: This penetration test machine is provided with a sound detecting means 10 capable of detecting the sound (acoustic signal) propagating through the penetration rod 7 when penetrating the penetration rod 7 into the ground, and the sound detecting means 10 detects the sound propagating through the penetration rod 7. The sound detected by the sound detecting means 10 is transmitted to a sound processing part 12 and outputted to a headphone 15 therefrom via an output part 14. A worker wearing the headphone 15 can thus surely hear and record the sound propagating through the penetration rod 7.
