SOLUTION: This invention provides the melanogenesis inhibitor or the cosmetic composition comprising extracts of one or more kinds of plants selected from Polygala tenuifolia Willd., Aristolochia debilis Sieb.et Zucc., Pinellia ternata Breitenbach, Vaccinium vitis-idaea L. and Cyperus rotundus L.
