Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating fluid for a printing plate material, a printing plate material, a method for manufacturing a printing plate material and a regeneration method, which directly manufacture a printing plate based on digital data and enable the plate material to be regenerated and repeatedly used without the necessity of using a development process and a developer but with the capability of a developing a sufficient image quality for practical use and further, realizing the rapid cycle of plate manufacture and regeneration. SOLUTION: The coating fluid is applied to the surface of a coated layer 3, of a printing plate material P, which contains a photocatalyst and shows a hydrophilic nature by emitting an activated light having a higher energy than the band gap energy of the photocatalyst. In addition, the coating fluid contains a fine particle (t) of a thermoplastic resin which has such a nature that it reacts with or firmly sticks to the surface of the coated layer 3 by heating and also such a nature that it is decomposed by the action of the photocatalyst by emitting the activated light. Besides, the fine particle (t) contains a photocatalytic fine particle (c).
